Last year, Pantone teamed up with Sephora for the first time to create a line of makeup highlighting the shade, making coral among the year's most popular of lip colors. This year, I am betting emerald green will be central to Sephora's smokey eye makeup kit and not only around St. Patrick's Day.
While the green is poppy, hailed as a stress reliever, it is hard to say that green accurately represents this year's mood. It is a calming color when mixed with metallic's, it has a futuristic punch. Green feels fun, especially when it comes to bags and shoes.

Green is the most abundant hue in nature - the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum. It is also the color of growth, renewal and prosperity - no other color conveys regeneration more than green. For centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity.
A 2013 Color of the Year Collection will appear on cosmetics vendor Sephora's shelves in March.
It is a happy-go-lucky color.
