Ever have one of those weeks where by Friday, you need to round up your girlfriends and hit the town for a big night out? We've all had those! Between going back to school, your job, your pets (optional) and your children (also optional), you need at least one night a week to blow off some steam with a Girl's Night Out!
Did you know there is a difference between being ready for a girl's night and looking it?
For example, take a picture of what you look like Friday evening after work...tell your girlfriends that you want to go out Saturday night!
Sexy waves are an obvious choice for a night out - and for good reason. You can use a foundation mist and gel for extra hold, then blow dry your hair in sections with a round brush. After the section is dry, use a bobby-pin to hold up the curl to hold the wave. Once your hair is cool, remove the bobby-pins and run your fingers through your hair. The final touch - add some texturizing spray.
Start with your eyes first.
First, curl your eye lashes to open your eyes, then apply an eye liner in the color of your choice. Apply little dots in between your lashes to make the lash-line look thicker.
No one wants a smoky eye to melt off before the party really gets going, so apply a liquid eye shadow that also contains a primer. If you're short on time or don't have primer, just use a small amount of concealer to help the shadow stay in place.
If you are highlighting your eyes, making a bold statement, make sure you use a color that will make your eyes POP. Remember, you can intensify a color by adding a little water. If you want a more sheer look, you can use a fluffier brush (minus the water). You can also apply a bronzy or champagne shade to the crease and inner corners of your eyes. Finally, use a fluffy brush to blend your eye shadow evenly, so there are no talltale lines.
No eye makeup look is complete without mascara. So, ladies...grab that mascara! Apply multiple coats to really play up your lashes.
It doesn't matter how you apply your foundation...with a brush, a sponge, or your fingers. The important thing is that you blend. Blend down your neck as well, your neck is usually lighter than your face and you don't want any lines. After that, you should apply concealer under your eyes with a concealer brush.
The finishing touch for this look? Blush. Simply apply using a fluffy brush onto the apples of your cheeks to give yourself a rosy glow.
Right before you walk out the door, add a pinky-nude lipstick to your lips. You want a neutral lip color with a smokey eye.
See you next time,
