Professional Chic Nails

~Amanda

Other than memorizing your resume, practicing responses, and coming up with questions post-interview, there are three rules of Beauty O'holic girls stress when entering the Professional environment. Whether you're heading to an interview, it's the first day of your internship, or you have an important meeting or presentation, you need to be prepared both mentally and physically. Yes, this means, a classy outfit, freshly shaped brows, and a simple manicure.

Here are 5 Rules for your fingers:

Keep your nails short and square. Although we love the chic rounded look that celebs are rocking everywhere, they may draw too much attention.

Choose a shade that is neutral...PLEASE! You don't want anyone to be distracted. Light colors: light pink, tan, clear, and french manicures are your only choice.

Save the designs for the concerts and festivals. There is nothing less professional then seeing a young worker rocking different designs on every nail. Yes, we love nail art, but unfortunately the CEO may not.

Stay away from glitter and crystals. We know, it's so adorable though! Especially when you do the one finger trend with a gorgeous gold, contrasting a lightly springy shade. But, that's for parties, not for the conference room.

And Duhh! It's great to spoil yourself by getting a manicure, but I love doing my own nails because I change the color so often. If you are like me, make sure you dip a q-tip in polish remover and remove the access polish from the finger surrounding your nail bed. If not, it looks sloppy and no Beauty O'holic wants that reputation!

Let us know what's going on in your life: a new job, an important class presentation and upload a picture of the Professional Chic Nail style you chose!
