Summer-Body Ready

Hello Ladies,

Want to know how to get that Summer Body Ready for Summer 2013? I've got just the list of the must-do's.

Chew Fruit

Melons are perfect hot-weather food. Think about bringing some watermelon to the park or beach. They hydrate your body without bloating, filling you up and they won't put you into a food coma, yuk! You may want to limit your intake of artificial sweeteners, such as diet soda's, broccoli, cabbage and beans as these can temporarily expand your belly.

According to the Journal Obesity found that dieters who track their progress using mobile apps drop more pounds than those who keep paper logs. Be aware of exactly what you eat throughout the day. This is one of the quickest ways to change your body and prepare it for the Summer ahead. The Weight Watchers app (which is available to members) lets you download recipes, including some of your favorites. If you aren't a member, there are also many free app's to choose from. For example, Meredith (with her permission, has allowed me to use her as an example) is using Calorie Counter by Fat Secret, which is a free app; you can also access your counter from their website.

Faux It

A fake tan brings out muscle definition, so you instantly look more toned. To define your abs with a dab of tanning lotion, trace a line from sternum to belly button and diagonally along the obliques. Check out here, how you can contour your body for better tone from a fake tan.

Microdermabrasion Treatments

Skip pricey treatments and achieve smooth skin by whipping up your own recipe: Mix 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water into a paste, and apply in a circular motion before rinsing. The grains act as a exfoliant, uncovering healthy skin underneath.

Trim Down

Muffin tops apparently hate the cold. It's called Coolsculpting by Zeitiq ($700-$1,200), definitely not in our price range, but if you want to try it and pay the hefty fee - by all means, let us know about your experience. They use a gel patch to freeze your fat cells below your skin. The cells then break down and are removed by the body's normal metabolic process. No needles, no anesthesia, no downtime. By the way, it is FDA approved procedure.

Check out one ladies review here, she posted it on her blog. She posted everything you need to know here from her own personal experience.

See you next time,

Happy Shopping!
