Sugar High Hair

-Amanda

Do you have a sweet tooth? We sure do! But getting into bikini-body shape doesn't exactly allow us to indulge on our favorite movie theatre treat, or stressful day sweet. We thankfully found a way for all the Beauty O'holic's (that means you!) to cheat on their sugar-free diets and take a trip to Candy Land. Follow these D-I-Y guidelines and you'll be looking a whole lot sweeter this Spring.

To the girls who love Skittles:

One of our biggest peeves - when you tie your hair up in a bun or pony and the hair tie leaves a crease. To prevent, all you'll need is a yard of elastic satin and fabric dye. Stretch the fabric out and cut 8-inch pieces. Color each stretch of fabric with your favorite colors, leaving a two-hour dry period. Use hair ties together or separately to create a colorful look. How sweet is that?

For the Chocolate cravers:

We know dark cocoa is good for the skin and health, but ever think to put it in your hair? Purchase L'Oreal Serie Nature Masque Cacao Masque for Fine Hair or make a conditioning mask with ingredients you already have!
  • Melt one dark chocolate bar in microwave (2-5 small squares)
  • Use 2 tablespoons of yogurt or crush an overripe banana
  • Drip in 1 1/2 tablespoons of natural honey
Apply this appetizing concoction to your mane avoiding the scalp. Cover your hair with a towel, cap, or saran wrap and after an hour or two, remove as much of the mask as you can before wetting your hair. Follow by washing and conditioning as normal.

This is to all the suckers...for Lollipops that is:

We investigated and invaded every POP of color. We love the Color Buzz Hair Chalk we featured in February, because it's fast, simple, and not permanent. You can also add a pop of color to your Spring or Summer looks by perusing on ETSY for your favorite feather extension. Similarly, take the time to stalk SnazzyLites for clip-in human hair extensions.

And my favorite candy of all time - TWIZZLERS!

When braiding your hair, add a ribbon to one of your sections and piece through, creating a strand of color twisted through your style. It's just that simple! Super fun. Super yum.
