Prom Perfect Skin

So, you have the dress and the shoes...maybe you are still trying to decide on your hair style or the perfect makeup. But, have you though about your skin? Let's face it; a pimple on Prom would suck. To make sure your skin will be perfect, get a solid night's sleep during the days leading up to Prom. This is essential to every aspect of your beauty.

Start your day off right with a fruit smoothie to promote great skin and help detox your body as well.
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 Cup Favorite Berries

Also, drinking lemon water can also be great for your skin. Not only because it is water and it will hydrate you from the inside out, but lemon will help detox your body and get your skin glowing.

You could also consider taking a Vitamin called "Stinging Nettle." It can be found at many health food stores and is sworn by a few women I know, which helps give them a flawless complexion.

While getting ready for Prom, a face mask can be a great way to pamper yourself and get your flawless skin. A simple one, can be mixed by combining:
  • 2 Tsp Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Sour Cream
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

After applying this to your face, wait 20-30 minutes before rinsing it off. For an added benefit, apply Apple Cider Vinegar to your face and neck after rinsing (this is a natural toner for your skin).

Lastly, for silky smooth skin, buy yourself a new razor. When showering, make sure you stand under warm-hot water for a couple of minutes to help open up your pores, once that is done, wash your legs (being sure to use either a body scrub or exfoliating tool, so your dead skin won't clog your razor).

Once you have rinsed off, you can start shaving! I recommend using a shaving cream (shampoo or body wash will create a good lather as well, if you don't have a shaving cream).

Once you have finished shaving, apply a small amount of hair conditioner to your body and continue with your shower routine. Before you get out, run your body under warm-cold water to help close your pores and help keep the hair from growing back.

Once you are out:
  • Approx. 2 Tsp Pure Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbsp Favorite Moisturizer
Massage finished product into your skin.

Got a pimple and need a quick fix? Try rubbing some toothpaste on it. It that doesn't work, try rubbing a little garlic.

Considering a detox? Give it a shot! You might just find that a detox is the perfect thing for you right now. The first thing you need to do is decide if you want to buy a detox or make your own. Do a little research first and find out which you like better.

My suggestion: Check out Kimberly Snyder's book Beauty Detox Solution or burlesque dancer, model, and actress Dita Von Teese's Glowing Green Smoothie (which she swears by).
